Talking About Moving Truck Rentals

Hello, my name is Benjamin. Welcome to my site about moving truck rentals. When I had to move across the country for school, I was tasked with taking the moving truck from my hometown to my new residence. The process was a nightmare initially, largely due to my inexperience and unsure expectations. I wish I would have researched the process more before starting out. I learned a lot on the trip though, and now I want to share it with you. This site will cover all you need to know about securing, using and returning a moving truck rental. Please come back soon.

Cluttered Cabinets? 3 Tips for Organizing Plastic Storage Containers

If you're like most busy people, you enjoy the convenience of using plastic storage containers for keeping your leftovers in the fridge. With the variety of shapes and sizes available, it can be difficult to keep all of those containers organized in your kitchen cabinets. The result is usually a cluttered mess, mismatching lids and containers, and overall a frustrating experience. Here are a few helpful tips to improve the organization in your cabinets so you can easily find the containers you need.

Put Them in Bins

Instead of stacking your food containers up, put them inside medium-sized plastic storage bins. Measure the depth and width of your cabinets so you find a bin that will fit with enough room around it for easy maneuvering in and out of the cabinets. Keep all of your food container inside of the bins, and simply pull them out so you can grab what you need. This will prevent them from falling out of the cabinet and make it much easier to remove them and put them away.

Use Your Drawers

You might not think of your kitchen drawers as a place to keep food storage containers, but they can make sorting much simpler. Use a drawer divider and separate the lids into one side and the containers in the other. Place the containers inside of each other and lay them down sideways so the drawer will close. Whenever you need to use one, simply open your drawer and remove one and find its corresponding lid. Another option for keeping your lids sorted is to place them upright with a dish drying rack. This will make it easier to spot the ones you need and grab one on the go.

Avoid too Many Containers

It can be tempting to reuse those plastic sandwich meat or butter containers for food storage, but doing this will just make them add up quickly and create more clutter. Instead, throw those containers out when they're empty or re-purpose them in other ways for crafts projects or for keeping small items secure like beads or buttons. Buy a brand new set of storage containers with matching color lids so you can easily match them with their bottoms. Only use a few containers so you don't end up overwhelmed by too many different shapes and sizes. Keep them clean and choose containers made of high quality materials like glass or heavy duty plastic so they last a long time. With some simple organization, you can make finding and using those food storage containers much easier.
